Default Which ESC is the best for me?

Hi,

first about myself, I'm sixteen years old, live in Eastern Bavaria, Germany and I'm going to a comprehensive secondary school in the 9th grade. I'm driving on-road electric rc-cars since last year's august. I'm mostly driving just 4 fun on public parking lots.

As a Motor I have the LRP GT-2 Turbo 21Tx2 atm. I want to change to the 17T LRP-HPI-Challenge Motor soon (I think this motor isn't available outside of germany!).

At the moment I have a LRP Runner Plus Reverse ESC (21T limit), but it sets itself of, after driving too long.

So I need a suggestion which ESC I should buy, please consider that I'm a pupil, so my budget is limited. Reverse would be nice, but it is not a ko-criteria.

I want to buy the ESC in USA/HK/JP because of the lower price, RC is very expensive in Germany!

Thank you for your help,
N0Body

nobody, here is what i suggest....

you buy your esc from the philippines......we have novak gt7 for about 150$. i recommend the esc because it is a very smooth esc and it can handle any brushed motor.....the 7 profiles availble will help you with your driving too.....

My self i always shop in an local hobby shop or at least i stay within the country. Feals much safer that way..

No, I just ordered at RC Adviser Champ, EMS shipping is only a few euros more expensive and the articles are partially half the price!

The LRP IPC Super sport and the Quantum Sport are good ESCs if you are on a budget but want a good reliable ESC.

Nope?

I do not need a hightech ESC, as I mostly race only in the parkin lots.

Keep your eyes peeled for a slightly used LRP Quantum Competition or Competition 2. I have the first QC and I hear it is punchier than the QC2, but I can't say that I have done an A-B comparison myself. I got mine, like new (and I mean perfect condition) and was only used as someone's backup speedo for $80 shipped (US Dollars), not too shabby as far as I was concerned.
