hi guys I have just ordered a new spintec ICC charger but to my shock i have read it does not come with the pc cable which is a bit of a shame given the firmware upgrades I will need to make.

can someone please post the pinout of the cable so I can spend this rainy day at home making one up. its just a serial cable whcih I can make up for less than $5

There is a small piece of circuit board in the serial cable end.
If you've only just ordered i shouldhave thought it would have the latest firmware already installed

I've checked the forums for a solution but no luck.

Thanks.

I keep having similar problems, very rarely seems to connect.
I have sent the cable back along with the charger (the charger had unrelated problems) so it can be checked out.

Have tried several computers, chargers, cables, and com ports. I'm thinking it's the way I'm extracting the file??

The tool shows it's connected to the ICC and when I hit the update button, it pulls up a open file window. I open the current update I want and that's it right??

Is there something you have to do to the file when you extract it from their website??

Mentioning the updates, Erik just got back to me regarding the cable I sent back and said there is nothing wrong with it

I don't think you need to do anything to the file once it's downloaded, but this all leads me to think that the programming utility is a bit flakey?

I simply saved the file to my desktop. From memory....opened the application, mapped to the desktop and updated.

Worked with no issues.

Hi my charger is currently @ Spintec being fixed (and hopefully updated) so I haven't used anything other than 1.06c yet.

sad to hear, dare I ask what happened?.

you will like 107a I think its great, just battling to find the right setup, keep getting temp peaks rather than volt peaks, on the bright side it protects the cells...

hope you get yours back in good nick
