I'm there now. They must have had an outage or something.

To the guys that have email Spintec, how long before they respond back?

I hope they get these things fixed on this charger. I sent mine in last week for a blown motor run. I do hope they fix the protection for it. I am going to add in a fuse in line on my leads when I get mine back. I think 10 amp will work. I hope.

I learned something VERY interesting last night.

For ver 1.06 software -- DO NOT run it with the temp mode set to Farenheit !!!!

Mine would never display the "Charge Complete" screen after all 4 cells were showing "full" -- it would continue on forever, appearing like it was still charging.

I switched it back to Celcius temp mode last night, and PRESTO !! now as soon as the 4th cell finishes, it immediately shows the "Charge Complete" screen ! Go figure !! It looks like the 1.06 software still has "issues" in the Farenheit temp mode.

I hope another update is on the way.

I got an email today from Erik. He said they were unaware of the F and C issue. He said they never use the F setting so they just didn't know. Said they will fix it ASAP.

I sent mine off to Eric to be looked at. It has the 1.06 version of the firmware installed. Yes I was in the F scale and charging a 4-cell pack. The interesting thing about mine is that the heatsink never got hot! I keep a fan on it but it didn't warm up a bit. the last charge that I did reached the max capitcity of 6000 mAh but showed 0.00 cell voltage and 00.0 temp. The pack did not receive any charge and did not have any errors. It did show that the charge was complete.

I have used the charger for som time now, and i don't have any problems
in the race last time i charge the batteris to 40 celsius and about 4800 mhA
and where comming off the track with 1200 mhA after 36 laps in 4 cell mod BL
i diden't need any more MhA so i try to get the batteris to last longer

Thumbs up

Well I have had the best customer service from any RC company. I blew the motor output on my ICC. I sent it off the week of Thanksgiving. And just got the charger back today! I also received an email from Erik on when he got the unit and that they would fix it the next day and send it back. I am really impressed at the timely service. In 3 weeks it went across the pond twice and was fixed!

So far the unit is working perfect.

Thanks Spintec. Keep up the good work!
