good question, i do not honestly know if that turns it off or not (i am hoping not, since if a battery does not sit all the way down against one of the temp sensors, it could damage a cell). i am using temp peak of 124F.

i haven't really paid attention, but it would be nice if when a cell peaks, instead of saying full, it said something like full/pk or full/tmp to differentiate how the charge cycle stopped.

I feel a difference off the bat.

It took me awhile to get it working. Update and settings. Setting are the key, the numbers are different than our old chargers.

My settings for IB 3800 are 6 or 7 amps, 4.0mvs, 50c, 180 sec force charge.

The difference I feel is not at the beginning of the race but at the end. The batts are staying constant through the five min.

Has anyone charged a practice pack, and ran it till it died? Notice how it goes from medium fast to a crawl at the end of practice? Cause all the cells are done at the same time, imo. I could be way off.

John I have found that the pack does stay strong longer. But I am using the CTX-D for discharge. After a run I pulse discharge until .9v per cell. Some packs the cells have different mah left. And my packs I have very good numbers from SMC and Full Throttle. Not all cells discharge at the same rate. We hope they do. But they do not.

FYI

Would there be a possibility of increasing the external charge rate to 6 amps by releasing a software upgrade? Or is this only achievable via hardware upgrade?

Yes, we think that should be possible. We are testing with it, looks like we can increase the rate to 6 amps for 6 cell charging. For 4 cell we are not sure yet.

Fingers Cross this update happens.

Another question... not sure if it has been mentioned before...

when i am charging a pack in the tray at 6A and one on the external output at 5A.... i get only a 10A draw (when i look at the system info section)...

any ideas why?
