Could it be just a dud cell?

What different settings are used between GP3700 and IB4200.

Difficult.
Good car with good batteries wil help.
But the ICC will bring new live in your old batteries!! And you will notice it on the track.

Got my ICC on the weekend, heres what i like and improvements i think would be of benefit.

Likes:
  • Charging a battery in the tray and being able to charge a battery or run a motor on the external output at the same time.
  • Extremely user friendly, easy to use
  • Temp cutoff for safety when charging in the tray
  • Preset profiles for different types of batteries
  • Charging / Discharging each cell individually in the tray, I feel this will improve battery life dramatically.

Improvements I would like to see:
  • Discharge on external output
  • 30a discharge in ICC Tray
  • Delta peak value for ICC Tray charging set by 0.1mv instead of 0.5mv for fine tuning
  • Delta peak value for external charging upped from 40mv to 60mv for charging nicd stick packs.
I really love this charger, I think it is one of the best on the market and with those improvements I think it will be THE BEST

Well I just received an ICC and I am doing side by side tests to my LRP Pulsar Compertition. I have to say, I am quite impressed. I am seeing the best numbers coming out, and going in my batteries that I have ever seen.

What I like:
-how the charger can multi task
-the charge tray also doubles as a discharge tray
-the large display
-information on every cell while you charge, and after you charge - then it works out an average
-very user friendly, straight out of the box I could understand how to work it, compared to the Much More Cellmaster I recently tried to use, even after reading the instructions 2 of us couldnt work out how to work it
-the many features to stop false peaking

What could be improved:
-charge amperage and delta peak to be set in 0.1, not 0.5
-timer on motor run-in (mainly just a up timer, but maybe a down timer too so you could walk away?)
-auto start timer to start from 1min, not 10min
-discharge on external leads (at the moment you can't discharge a stick pack unless you use the BATMAN, there is no conventional way)
-delta peak on external leads upped to 60 or 80mv

The only other problem I have found, which is not that big of a problem, is the main input leads are quite short. So if you run it off a 12v battery, and the battery is on the ground, the charger is on your table, the cables don't reach.

But I am very impressed so far, I think I will deffinetly have to get one myself, need to save some more

Hmm, straight after I wrote that I went to discharge a battery and I get the error "4 cell pack detected", but it is a 6cell. Settings are on 6cell. I have jiggiled the battery around and still says only 4 cells. I have restarted the charger too, can't get it to detect all 6 cells
Anyone else had this problem?
