I don't know if anyone has seen this or posted already here. Well, it looks like the Helios! |
JR bought the rights to the helios casing as far as im aware.
Pretty ugly. |
i was a big jr racing fan, not anymore! *cough copy cats cough*

JR and KO have a great history together. Doesn't anyone remember JR Propo? They had the R-756 which was the JR version of the EX-10 (I think). But what they did from the KO to the JR versions was alter the modules so that the KO and JR ones didn't work with the other brand. Pretty sweet if you ask me, finally a replacement for the R1, and we know it will work with Spektrum

I thought JR was going to release a new model with a 17" LCD screen mounted below the steering wheel?

I had one heck of a time trying to fit that into my original RC10GT. Ah.... memories. And yes, the Ex-10 and r-756 were pratically identical, with the exception of the recievers and modules. I 'believe' they even shared the same menu options and other software goodies. |
Yup. I had a 756 and one of my friends had the KO version. The menus and all were identical. I remember the receiver as being really thin but having a huge footprint.

Just to let you know, The R1 was designed by KO. So is it any suprise, NAH
|
ko must be making a killing on selling the case. they even have little kids using the radio now! http://www.heartlandamerica.com/Imag...94008Large.jpg
Now, how much of a price difference is there going to be and how much variation are we going to see? I just wish there was alot more variation between the 2, like the screen moved or something to distinguish the too, besides just the red coloring. |
can it be purchased yet???
is there a site that gives all the specs??? |
O c'mon JR. All this anticipation and it turns out you copy the helios. Wow this sucks major. I do remeber Jr propo, but c'mon! All they did was put a bunch of JR prints on it. No offense to anyone, but as a helios user i feel like this is just not right. Well i just hope they have atleast some features that are different.

Dude, I have a Helios, I love my Helios...JR could have ton a lot worse than to use that as their next radio. Look at Rayspeed, Tamiya, Corally, and HB...they've all used the VFS-1 as the basis for their newest speedos.
|
Yeah i love my helios too... best pistol radio in my opinion. I wonder how much this JR will be? probaly alot more than the helios, the R-1 goes for about $400 and over.
