That's ok...if it's the same as the KO then you might be able to rig it up to ue a TC wheel for steering......with spinners!!!

Horizon jacks their prices up so you are more inclind to purchase it from the LHS. It sucks to compete with the company you are buying from. It should be just under the $300 mark.

Default z-1

year before last i had an r-1 pro. i loved it except 1 major thing. The wheel tension spring broke 3 times. the third time was after i was promised the spring i had was the strongest unbreakable one horizon had.wheel springs break at the worst times also. not during practice or warm up. it is always during qualifiying or the main. the day that last spring broke i bought a 3pk. nice radio too.
this winter i wanted spektrum and i heard ko was going to be second out with it after airtronics so i bought my helios. I am telling this story because I have been lucky enough to have had 3 of the 4 major top radios in the last three years. My point is this
A synthesized r-1 software package in the helios shell is just about as perfect a radio as you will find. my r-1 was awesome for navigating screens, ergonomics, features etc. it was a little heavy and of course the fatal spring problem. but with that fixed they just might have the real deal in surface radios. now slap a spektrum module in there and it will be money.
by the way i still think that pic is funny. somehow that wheel isn't right. i guess i am still not buying it even though it is an awesome idea.

Wow disappointing. I was hoping for something different. Oh well. I can hold on to the XS3 for a little longer.

LMAO......

I still can't see how adding synth capabilities to arguably the best radio (based on overall ergonomics, features, response, and feel) is a disappointment?

The XS3 is a nice radio...but not even in the same league...(although dollar for dollar still one of the nicest radios you can buy)

Will you be able to use the spektrum module in the Z-1. If so which one?

Thanks, Lee
