Default Reedy Race in Spain

Groskamp managed a 2nd place finish in the Reedy Race in Spain. Behind what you might ask? .... A Billy Easton driven TC3. Drescher's TC3 took 3rd. (Got this from Trinity Tech Talk from a guys who participated in the race)

These TC3s are on a roll! Dont get me wrong, I dont have anything against the XRay and have no particular reason to be biased to the TC3 coz im a XXX-S lover! Ive recently aquired a TC3 but ive only run it once so cant say much about it yet. ... although that car seems to be winning everything right now!

Just thought of posting the results of the Spanish Reedy to see what kind of reactions it will get. Just to spice things up even more in here ... hehehe

Hi guys. Greetings from Malta.

So, as I have been told, winning is just a coincidence, and all the cars are the same.

Yet 3 weekends ago Barry baker had a big win with a TC3.

Two weekends ago Juha Levanen had a big win with a TC3.

Last weekend Billy Easton had a big win with his TC3.

All three were big events with big entries including all makes.

Form your own conclusions.

I am not a TC3 fan. I just see reality.

Roborat, just my contribution to help spicing this one up.

Regards,

Joe from sunny Malta.

Default Spashett's batteries

Hi there,

very interesting how rumours start... someone mentioned that David Spashett used LRP batteries instead of Trinity at the Euro's in Lostallo. This is definitely not true! Some of his teammates used LRP cells because they did not receive any 3300's from Trinity but David didn't use our cells.

Here's the Top10 in regards of battery types:

1. Levanen Reedy-Yokomo3300
2. Groskamp Peak-GP3300
3. Drescher Reedy-Yokomo3300
4. Leino Orion-GP3300
5. Ahoniemi Corally-GP3300
6. Hönigl LRP-Powers R3300
7. Spashett Trinity-GP3300
8. Kaerup Reedy-Yokomo3300
9. Fost GM-GP3300
0. Ahoniemi Corally-GP3300

Also, Corally did not use Powers cells! They used GP...

Cheers,
Reto (LRP)

Johnbull- The common denominator is that all 3 'drivers' are very good.......you should know better than to spread rumours about 'cars' winning races....its the drivers that do it!!

Oh, I see. This week it's the drivers is it?

Last week it wasn't the cars and it wasn't the drivers either. It was the batteries. Now this week it's the drivers.

What's the excuse going to be next week.

OK so the drivers are good. Of course they are, otherwise they wouldn't be there. But it was three different drivers, and still just one common denominator........that great touring car, the Associated TC3.

Like I said, I race a Yokomo MR4 TC Special, and love it, but I am not so blind that I don't see reality. The TC3 is a real winner, and these guys keep proving it each weekend.

Reto, thanks for the clarification regarding cells. I thought David wouldn't use anything but Trinity, and the Corally situation is interesting too.

So now we know that the Corallys were not so fast simply because Powers were giving them some super duper cells and preferential treatment, as someone implied. Whoever it was that said so will have to think up another excuse as to why those Corallys were so quick......without hundreds of dollars of optional extras. And please don't tell me it's the drivers now.

Regards

Joe from sunny Malta.

Johnbull- Looks like you are struggling to read MY posts...so at which point did I give any excuses about Xray??? Have I mentioned "batteries" in any of my posts on this thread??? I think not!!!

We are aware that you have a MR4, your son has a TC3 and that you also sell a lot of other stuff....

Well I have a TC3, Xray and HAD an MR4....amongst quite a "few" other cars............I think it is clear that the bias one on this thread is YOU.....you are simply ignoring other people impartial opinions......go ahead believe that "cars" win racing...if it helps you to sell a few more cars then so be it!!!!!!!!!!

The "salesman" here is VERY much YOU!!!!!!!!!!!! So what did Xray do to you....not give you the sole distributer???????

DTM,

Cool it......you'll get a heart attack!

The reason I didn't go for X ray was that I had the original - the Corally. So I didn't need the copy too.

Actually you appear to have misread me. I don't think I made any accusations to you.

As far as I know the battery thing was brought up by Mario Hudy himself. He claimed certain people were fast because they had preferential treatment with cells.

I think it was you that said it's drivers that win, not cars. Well, remember Schumacher when the Ferrari wasn't so good. Now look at him, now that the car is good. Remember Williams when it wasn't so good? hey were nowhere. Remember Mc Laren?

I am the first to admit that a good driver is a great help, but without a good car he will get knowwhere.

The fact still remains that TC3s are doing lots of winning nowadays, and nobody can argue about that.

Sorry my friend. It's a fact. But if it upsets you so much, I won't keep winding you up.

Regards

Joe from sunny Malta.

burito:
I was the one that said Spaschett played with LRP batteries which is what my friend who participated at the event told me. I apologize for the misinformation but this is what I've been told!!

johnbull, roborat everyone :

As I have mentioned before - my belief - cars don't win races drivers do! The fact that another TC3 won doesn't make any difference to me. Were was Levanen in Madrid? Were was Baker in Madrid? It tells me something about driver incostistency (if they were racing of course!). At least Grosskamp finished well on all races!!

Again, drivers win NOT cars.

I was the one who gave as an example F1 and said that it'sn NOT the same as RC. At F1, cars are the main advantage and together with a driver teams win. In RC the driver is the most important factor and together with a good car (nowdays all cars are competitive) give wins.

By the way Baker, could have won the World Cup if he didn't make a mistake at a turn and broke his car! Now that Tamiya won means that Tamiya has better car than Associated?? No it only means that at that particular race Tamiya's diver was more focused and made less mistakes and won the race! The driver not the car!

Come on get real. Driver's win NOT cars (and of course luck!!!)

I'm not saying that TC3 is a bad car. On the contrary it's very good BUT it's not the best!! As I have mentioned on an earlier post everyone has diffferent "best" car.

Have fun

Nick

Thank you Nick...at least you see common sense.

Johnbull- I only get angry when people "misquote" me!

As mentioned in my previous post...I have no car loyalty, I appreciate different "car designs", thats why I still have a Predator DTM in my collection. Whether it was Xray, AE or whoever who has won, has no bearing on how well I drive and doesn't make the car a "hit" overnight!
