What rules do you Australians run to at the Australian 1/10 electric on road champs? Also, has next years champs location and date been set yet?

Thanks for your help

The manual says that you will have more on power steering if you add caster. So you would need to put more spacers in front.

Kambah (Canberra) in the ACT is the location.

Touring car rules:
Body rules are 4 door sedan
Foam or Rubber tires
Modified Open (No brushless motors )
Stock (27turn stock)
Also a possible 16 triple class on control rubber tires???)
1500g weight limit

BK

Do you know what 16T is being run, ie any armature marked as 16T, and what are the control rubber tyres, hope they are not H13s

I am still a little unsure about running with you big boys, but i cant stand stock, so am exploring the other options

come on you can run with the big boys!

i don't think the control tires or exact motor specs have been decided, last time the control tire was from a choice of two Eagle compounds.

don't forget Electric racing is on at Helles Park this Sunday.

The on-road nats are scheduled for the 2/3rd November I believe.

Are you (or any of your friends) thinking about coming over??

Yes myself and a friend are very keen to come over. I remember you (Cookie) and your friend Martin I think it was, coming to Christchurch in 2000.

I personally race a TC3, currently 4th in NZ in Pro Stock and also 2nd in F1.

Yes that's correct! Good memory :-)

We were thinking about coming to your nats back in Jan but we had our Summer Nats here the same weekend so it didn't happen....maybe next time!

Jeez this thread is dead! Where is everybody? (Hope I didn't scare everybody away ;-)

Well I guess I'll answer my own question! I got some Orion B tyres and the black and blue inserts finally, and tried them out on the weekend.

They weren't too dissimiliar to the Takeoff 27s that I have been using in terms of handling. If anything the tyres with the blue inserts gave slightly more turn in and the black inserts gave slightly less turn in.

We ran about 5 runs on each set and a couple of the tyres were almost worn through to the canvass in spots, but the performance didn't deteriorate.

I found slightly heavier damping helped maintain the corner speed that the Takeoffs had but other than that I didn't change the setup much.
