Enough speculation-
I am the current Marketing Specialist within product development here at Hobbico Corporation of America. One of my primary responsibilities is O'Donnell MFG.
The info I have given you is factual, and frankly as detailed as it is going to get.
Demand will be met.
As stated above in my previous post-
It is a transitional time for O'Donnell MFG....no problems with the product....just logistical priorities that had to be attended too.
19 turns and MOD teardowns are working their way forward.

I wish Great Planes/ Tower would just quit saying they'll be out (the 19turn) in late Nov, then early Dec, late Dec, early Jan, Late Jan, early Feb, Late feb, late March and so on and so on. Just say July and be done with it instead of stringing folks along.

the strategy kindof worked for me... i was going to buy a mod motor and a 19T, but looked at the target date and said nah, it'll be here in about two weeks, i'll wait.... two weeks later, nah, it's almost here i'll wait... two weeks later.........
(*repeat*)

but for the most part, it should be all worth the wait just like people who have used it are saying. i'm a big odonnel fan because i've used their fuel for almost 5 years (i'm a nitro onroad racer now racing electric sedans also). and i know how consistent they are and the quality control is just superb. maybe they just don't want to release a fewer number and not satisfy the demand. i now own an XRAY car and probably they don't want to be in the same boat where people got pissed at small supply versus the big big demand.

Team Checkpoint
Is it true checkpoint motor company is having difficult decision to mass produce alluminium vs. plastic endbell ?

FYI: kawada armatures have built in fan, it would be killer motors if team checkpoint is able to copy that.

Hi Jo.... so you play electric cars too ?

Yeah, my LHS is giving me the same response " two weeks " and so on. ..... after 40 weeks later ..... my LHS finally have 2 motor checkpoint 8x1 in stock today.

I'm going to get them ASAP before my friend(s) got it first hehehe

Now, 2nd problem : the brush replacement

hi asw,
yeah i started out last january. this thing is a blast! i guess as long as it's road racing, it's fun for me!
there's no real difficulty getting a modified checkpoint from where i'm from. i can get a 9 or a 7, in fact there's a 9 and a 11 in the my local hobby shop right now. the hard to come by is the 19T Spec. stormerhobbies as well as towerhobbies has many checkpoint motors and replacement parts for the motor.

Standard size comm. uses their stanard size brushes and springs. Pretty much like the mod motor, but with a fixed plastic endbell. Very high quality motor for 19T.

Fans require energy to move air. The energy used up by the fan is energy that can't be used to move your car forward.

My Wife's old Nissan Sentra was faster when you turned the A/C off...same concept.

Good call Adrian....especially going up hills!

Team Checkpoint is not in the habit of copying anyway.

The Money Motor has been added to the web site.

When you take off the main fan from your real car, will your car's engine go faster ? Try going up hill without the fan.... The heat will decrease the engine performance or even melt it.

Yeah... you tell me where the blank armature and the can come from. Sagemi ? Epic ?

G-Dizzle : I'm just giving you suggestion, and you don't have to comment like that especially to customer of great planes' products.
