Checkpoint 7x1. Plenty of speed.

I'm thinking of......

getting the Checkpoint 9T as my first 12th mod motor (it's the only one I see Tower has in stock) and just wondering if it would work (as in less performance/will it even fit etc) putting my Orion Element 19T armature in the Checkpoint can until I feel I'm ready for the 9T?

Also what gearing would be a good starting point for the 9T running Intellect 3600 or GP 3700's if I wanted to be sure of making race time and then some (say 9 minutes)?

Thanks in advance.

with a 2X8 i was running 33mm to make the 8mins. But SO much depends on your batteries(i used gp3700's),Driving style and the type of track i don't think that'll help you too much....... hope so though

that shows as much of the track as possible (well that I could find anyway lol). To give an idea of scale the main straight is approx 45m long.

33mm you mean rollout right?

yeah mm rollout , i was running on a tight indoor carpet track though so i'd guess you'll be gearing very differently to that.
