Hi Guys,

With 1/12th session started i was hoping someone might me able to shed some light on how these motors should be set-up this kind of racing.

Is it simply a matter of changing to the 4 cell brushes or should i be thinking of softer/harder springs as well??

What are they like on the batteries, could i drop a wind from where i usually run with a normally brushed motor or are they about the same ?? (will i dump ?)

There seem to be a few people asking this sort of question but no answers yet

12th scale motor setup:
9x1 or 9x2
copper spring on positive and negative
4 cell Atlas brush
14 degrees of timing

I use the same setup also with 10 and 8 turn motors.

IIC 7x1 motor setup
Silver on positive, gold on negative
6 cell infinity brush with a small cavity in the center
10 degrees of timing

Ran my 2X8 for the first time tonight in 1/12th (just as it came).

Well christ what can i say , very impressive think i had the fastest car there but i was cutting it close on duration(GP3700's), But being smooth on the throttle was the key as always but what a power curve and did she scream !!

Very impressed Guys, great motor !!

Now to set it up properly for next weeks run !!
