Default ICE charge rate

i initially posted this in the duratrax ICE forum, but nobody seems to be browsing it and i will go racing soon, so i'm interested in this please:

i just got this charger(duratrax ICE) today and i was interested in how you guys charger 3300MAH and 3600 MAH batteries.

i see there are a lot of options...

i just tried the normal mode using the 3600 MAH and 5.0A and when it stopped charging it showed 2900MAH, is it not supposed to show 3600MAH or am i doing this wrong.(or could the battery just be too used, even though it wasn't bought too long ago)

sorry for this question...i just had a cheap charger before where all i had to do was press a button...so i'm not used to this

thanks!

I hate to say it, but the 3600s are terrible... You may have worn them down already... My distributors aren't even selling them anymore...

Try cycling the packs a few times and also use a tray discharger everytime to equalise each single cell.

Check the peak sensitivity, should be between 3 to 5 mv. If not the pack may false peak. I have one and it works great. After traying my ProMatch 3300's down to .9 per cell I'll get anywhere from 3450 to 3550 mah into them.

yeah, if the pack wasn't dead, you can't cram 3600 into them. 6amps at 5mv is fine. make sure and disable trickle.

probably just cells that are bad or need some attention. Most good 3300's should at least take 3800mah at 6.5amps

Sometimes a 3300 cell with a High IR will show big Mah numbers on the charger, that does not mean you got 3800mah into them, either that or you are charging from a much lower voltage to begin with. I start at 5.4 (.9 per cell on the tray) and then start charging.
