~47-48mph radar confirmed

on loose street pavement, with traction probably woulda made 50mph easy...

in the car action mag for touring cars(forget the name of it right now) they wanted to see if electric or nitro was faster. they had a pro4 with a 12 cell pack, hacker brushless, and a bunch of aluminim to make it stronger, im forgeting a few things. the pro4 was clocked at 88mph. it was like 5-10mph faster then the suped up nitro. it was a tight car.

I like this setup, doesn't sound too expensive compared to brushless. I searched for a 7 cell battery, couldn't find any.. I am assuming I would have to build my own pack? Also will 7 cells fit in the TC4?

Thanks guys

I have done 46mph in a race with a 8 double and 6 cells geared around 8.5-9.0 with a TC3 and yeah 7 cells will fit.

Cliff Lets TC3 didn't do 115. It was the 24 cell pan car with 5 turn motor.

The TC3 did close to 100 if I remember right.

i think a TC3 or any decent touring car will do 50+ with 6 cells and 8-9 turn motor. Just depends on how soon you want to get there. A stock motor will do it down a hill, geared over the moon.

We are hitting 23mph+ offroad on a fairly med/small track on the straight. I know my touring car is WAYYYYYYY faster. It probably does do close to 50 with my 9-10 turn, geared for the race track.

i didn't measure this, but it's fast enough
pro4 with lehner basic xl 5000 + uforce 75,
6.8 gear ratio, 6 cells.

i should try using 10 cells and gear ratio 6.. but even now if i floor the throttle car is uncontrollable

nope the pancar did 111 and the tc3 did like 89 or something. it will be beaten and it already has been. the pan car had a aveox brushless and 24 cells in it and the tc3 had a 10x2 with neo mags and 12 cells

Is this a realistic goal? What kind of motor, battery, and ESC would I need to be able to achieve this with a TC4? Or the better question is exactly what sort of complete setup would I need. I'd rather not go brushless (too expensive)

Thanks for any help.
Craig Dresher was clocked doing 52 MPH during the mains at the Euro Champ's huge track 2 years ago (300' back straight). He was running a Reedy 12T Ti geared 5.55FDR on 6 cells.

50mph is pretty easy to get if you have the gear ratio and enough room.

Hey, I didn't say how fast the pan car went, only that the TC3 didn't do 115 or whatever. I was pretty sure it was a brushless too, (a 5 turn brushless) but didn't want to throw that our there.

If I remeber, didn't they have 18 cells on the tc3? Boy, thats alot of weight.
