I wasn't concerned about over discharging the battery....6500mah and I run 6-7 min for a heat or main...I never got close to the danger point...3.98 is the avg after a race. I sorta considered the cut off as a way to help preserve batteries for those who enjoy their car doing something other than timed racing.
