Default Which tc chassis for a part time racer?

I am looking to get another (sold everything and now returning) TC. I will use it in our 21.5 tc class and maybe VTA depending on turn out.

I was going to get a TA05 or TA06 because we have 3 TCS races local this year. Will these chassis be enough for the other classes? Everyone else in those classes run double decker carbon cars.

I didnt want to go with a sukura or R1 because of parts. Trying to stay under $250 for the chassis.

Thanks for any input would help,

Chris

I'm pretty sure you can pick up a T3 2012 for that budget.

If you are looking to run vta, I would suggest the TC4 club racer. I know several racers who are very competitive with that chassis running both 25.5 vta and 21.5 usgt. for $150-ish it's a bargain, and parts are real easy to get...

Get the spec r s1 its $118 from reflex racing and drives like any other top of the line car I use the r1 and that has all the options for $289. Use the extra money for spares and tires.

The TC4 is a popular choice locally here. I personally run older Losi JRXS Type Rs for VTA, and they can be found within your budget. I find them easy to setup due to the more central location of all the weight on the chassis. This is still a very effective chassis and you can still buy parts for them.

The direct answer is yes, the TA05 V2 is more than capable for USVTA,USGT,TCS GT2 and numerous other classes. You can also find conversion kits for the 05.

Thanks for the help,

I am not a fan of the TC4.

I am still on the fence. Not many Ta05 out there used and as someone pointed out I may be able to get a used Xray for the cost of a new TA05.

Thanks Again

Chris
