Default Novak impulse with 17.5 ballistic motor

I recently jumped back into pan car after 15+ years. Things have changed a lot since the only motor were brush motors. The guys at my local track pointed me in the right direction. I bought a crc battle axe, 17.5 ballistic motor with a S1 battery and a impulse ECS. The guys at the local track time their motor with their ecs.*Background infoTrack is a flat asphalt parking lot track which is around 200ft long with two turns. Guys turn timed motors with a gearing of 38-40/86-96.*I have no clue what to do. The impulse ecs came with a sheet for timing preferences. Do I follow the S1 oval option?
