Looks like it has a dual BEC so it can run on 1S without the need for a booster.

The 1s version looks like its much taller (cant really tell on length,width from the pics) than the older one. Any comment if the dimensions are similiar?

The v3.1 is a 2-3 cell esc with rubber grommets behind the sensor port and the programming port put in place mainly for off road use so no dust enters the esc it also has a raised fan of 1mm for better cooling and airflow that's all."

Ah good to know. I have loved my HW 1S after moving over from another mfg that needed an external booster and couldn't be happier! Very smooth and reliable.

It states on the Hobbywing site to use the V3.2 usb link sofware I am using this with V3 with no problems and the latest ESC software
