Default Increase rear traction

Need to get more rear traction. Have 2 ideas but not too sure are the different. Want to know what is the different:

1. Increase the rear toe by +0.5deg
2. Increase the rear track width by 1mm each side.

Both will increase rear traction but what is the different?

Increasing rear width will reduce rear traction.

Also you might want to add your entire setup, and handling scenarios...because you might have other setup issues and there will be other ways of fixing your traction issues. Droop, roll center, camber links, etc, etc...
