Noob brushless question
 

What characteristics for a brushless system would fit well for a 4wd sedan? I've recently returned to the scene after a decade plus away, and I don't know squat about BL systems. I've seen a few on hobbymart which say things to the effect of "good for 2wd buggy" but haven't seen much for 4wd sedans.

We race 2 pole 540 motors, from 25.5 to 3.5 turn. The lower the turn the faster it goes....

try the castle creations sv2 or mamba esc with any one of the neu cstle 4pole bl motors. i use the 6900kv ...plenty of torque and loads of speed but that high of a kv is limited to 2s lipo.

Generally speaking, would I want more torque in a 4wd sedan than in a 2wd?

Are you looking at getting back into racing or just bashing? If your just bashing you'll want a more simple ESC with less settings to mess around with so you can focus on having fun. If your considering going back into racing but are bashing at the moment, look into something that will work well for bashing but also for racing in the long run. As far as motors go, your looking at a 540 brushless motor and if your looking at racing, read up on where and which class your interested in running so you know what turn motor to buy. It will be allot easier to buy a more well known brand that has support so if you are stuck and don't know what to do, someone will be able to help you, and buying a well known brand doesn't necessarily mean having to fork out allot of money vs a cheap set either.

Thanks for all the help. I'm probably just going to "bash" around the neighborhood, but wouldn't mind paying a little more to have something that fits the VTA class that's run locally. I like the idea of the Novak Edge 2S/Ballistic combo (mostly because it will do reverse!).
