Very sad.
I believe its Czech Republic, not Romania.

There are some guys who rally in Colorado, from time to time they post up some vids. They race against each other like Rally Cross, on narrow tracks, jumps and tight turns.

You can find them at RCcralwer forums, which has a special Rally section.

Here in Brazil is pretty much impossible to find some rally lovers. Everybody are either into extreme nitro on-road pro racing or extreme jumping and crashing off-road. So most of the tracks are either way too fast or way too jumpy. Those who like bashing, they all have some crazy ultra nitro hardcore butt ugly big foots.

Oh, right, thanks for correcting me!

I'm still hoping that I'll find some local interest here. I mean.. it's so much fun!

Default My favorite rally body, how to make it fit?

Hiya folks,

The datsun 240z rally shell from tamiya is my favoritest rally shell.
How can I make it fit a xv-01 chassis?

Any suggestions?

-Alexander

You should not have any problem fitting it. It's a standard 190mm body

You think so? I've been drooling over it, but was worried it wouldn't fit right over the front motor

If the Toyota FT86 fits, so should the Z. Its based on a car with a front engine. The only bodies that will be a tough fit would be mid engine, like an NSX, Ferrari etc.

Do you have the body? How do you know it doesn't fit?

What about the wheelbase? The Datsun is, I believe 251 mm, while standard wheelbase are 257 mm.

Is possible to alter the wheelbase on the XV-01 using spacers?

I dont think its possible to alter the wb, at least not with its prescribed parts.

Hi
Im having a little trouble with my xv01. I use mine on tarmac and gravel and a few jumps.

Basically the steering is all over the place.

Every bump and the steering alignment is either to the right or left by alot.
I took the car apart, rebuild using shims to eliminate some of the slop and still no gd.
Checked turnbuckles are straight and same lengths

Using:
Savox servo 1251mg
Kit servo saver
Front buggy CVA's with tb01 springs (longer than TRF's and just enough that the steering doesn't catch on chassis)

There is a spacer in front of the rear suspension holder.. (step 19 NN23 in manual) if you built the car as per manual, you are already running it 2mm shorter wheelbase.

In addition, there is a 4mm spacer on the rear upright that can be moved in front and back of upright. (Step 22 NN19) If you built as per manual, you can shorten wheelbase by switching the spacer to the front of upright.

I think it will be close but not perfect.

The kit servo saver is the plastic one right? No metal parts? If that is the case, that is most likely your culprit
