I remember a guy in our german rc forum who put a Lancia Delta shell on his xv-01 and he had to remove the bumper...
Unfortunately I'm not allowed to post links yet.

On one hand the short overhangs on the Lancia look awesome and are perfekt for jumping and on the other hand there is nothing worse than a big crash without a bumper.

Other than the bumper, as you know it already, the Delta fits fine! And it will be even better with the Delta wheels that are supposedly in the pipes.

Say what? Delta wheels? Who is supposedly making them?!

I already shaved my bumper down a lot for my E30 body, so I'm fine with doing that modification. I guess I'll be ordering a Delta

Hey Metalnut, I run the Delta and M3 as well, all you need is to trim the bumper. The original wheels will be coming out with the TT02 & XV01 Delta kits

I must be clairvoyant .. I painted a Toyota 86 for my XV01. I personally would prefer the re-release of the 97 Celica GT four castrol

Personally, I'm just excited about any and all releases for this chassis. That means more rally wheel options, bodies, etc.

So is this just a bunch of cool cars or does anyone run "races" / events like an X games for these ?

That's a nice shell indeed! Now we're getting more bodies, tho not exactly those we'd asked.

I would love the 97 Celica and the Escort Cosworth WRC, but more than that, I'm still praying for the 97 Impreza Subaru World Rally Team.

If you look in this and the rally thread, you'll see YouTube videos of our friends in the EU who have organized rally races. I think most of them are in... Romania, if I remember correctly? They have some awesome cars and awesome tracks set up, nothing like that exists here in the U.S. I've been trying to get some local rally interest going, but pretty much nobody seems interested. Very sad.

Maybe it's part where you have to chase after the car.
I've seen the vids and think it would be pretty cool to run on trails similar to the ones the EU guys run on.

You know, I've been thinking the same thing. I hate to generalize, but most (read: NOT all) of the people who are into RC around here aren't exactly in good shape. I guess when you struggle to walk up the driver's stand, running after a car doesn't seem fun at all.

But yeah, I'd love to run it the way they do. Looks so fun!

That looks like the 86 will have more stickers than the WRX shell that came with my XV-01!

Here in Sydney Australia, they raced more of a rally cross, where it was basically just a normal off road track with minimal jumps, and low ones at that. It was quite popular for a while, but then died off Nothing where I live though
