There's a reason that Toyota, Lexus and Scion badges are all ovals of the same size. :)

I think they would have sold more FRS and it would be a more desirable car in the USA if it has LEXUS branding. I did not know anything about Scion before I got the FR-S. My wife said it was a young person brand. This was evident when I went to the dealership to try/buy it. I think I was older than the combined ages of the whole staff.

rc samuri had a really nice modified xv01 with carbon conversion does anyone know where buy one

fyrstormer 04-13-2016 03:59 PM

There is no official carbon-fiber conversion for the XV-01. You'd have to make your own. It wouldn't be very good for rally driving anyway, because the plastic box chassis keeps most of the dirt out. It might be okay for track driving, but you can find many other touring cars that are better-suited for track driving than the XV-01 is.

Man, I just gotta say... I love my XV-01!

Wow. That's an awesome showroom you built for it. And you got the red/blue livery decals to fit too. Maybe I should get you to make a Lancia body for me; I gave up on the livery decals.

Metal One 04-14-2016 09:44 PM

Thanks. I've got a pretty sweet printer at work. Now I just need some scale tools and such.

The Lancia decals were not easy, I can tell you that. And then came the battle damage. :(

I have painted and decalled this body about 5 times and I still mess up the decals. It is not easy by any means.

Challenge accepted! I'm totally getting an Integrale now.

I nail decals. I wish the decals were more complex sometimes!

I've seen your capabilities in illustrator.. Comparing your talents to us mere mortals is futile ;)

Ahh the Stratos. I love the Stratos. Is that a mini chassis? I know someone makes a standard 1:10 Stratos but I can't remember where I saw it. Those decals don't look too bad but that one part around the window looks like fun. Man, Lancia makes the coolest rally cars.

Raman 04-15-2016 03:22 PM

If it's 1/10 it's the rallye legends body

Yeah, that's the other reason I skipped the livery decals. I also relocated some of the other decals to positions where they were less likely to get damaged in rollovers. Do a second body and keep that as the show body so you won't feel bad about damaging this one.

I had always heard about using dish soap and water to set decals. Here is a video, albeit in Chinese but gives you an idea
