We will not be using a "spec" tire this year, it worked well last year, but have decided to go with the straight USGT rules for tires, any 24/26mm treaded tire with open cell foam insert (the rules were changed this year to also allow for belted treaded tires).

These are the tires that were used 2 years in a row to win at the USVTA Southern Nationals as an FYI.

USGT motors should be "as purchased off the Hobby Shop/Interweb shelf " and readily available to all without modification.

I don't know Myron, I see a lot of TQs but you only have "runner up" backing up all that talk so I guess I'm not too worried it.

Regarding minimum weight for VTA: do you guys use the ROAR spec or the spec found here (http://www.usvintagetransam.com/rules/index.html)? There is a pretty large discrepancy between the two. ROAR calls for 1450g minimum and the USVTA site calls for 1550g.

Are pit areas designated by entry date, or is it first come first serve? Trying to figure out if I should bring a table or not.
