I use 2s saddles packs only in my cougar sv2..

Do you think it would be too complicated to get it balanced correctly if I use 1S coming from my 2S saddles?

Is it a good car? It's for my girlfriend, she wants to begin 1/12 pan car with me and we have had a good offer

You could put a regular 1c down one side and the electronics down the other (Corally make a replacement chassis for this application)but it is not ideal. You could also see if Superior Hobbies have their link conversion still avalible (I have this and its very good!). That uses the front and rear ends from your car but with a link chassis in the middle.

I think the single cell from your 2c saddle might be too tall to fit, not sure though.

Are you talking about this kit?

Thans a lot for your help, as soon as I can put a 1S lipo (coming from a 2s saddle or standard 1s lipo used in 1/12) it's ok

Just to make sure..can this car be used with the standard wheels we are running today?

Yep, you take all the bits from your donor car and stick them on the other chassis. Easy peasy mate and it goes very well also!

Just bought a bnib SP12X for less than 60$ . Actually it's this one:

As soon as spares and a conversion kit is available it's good for me. World champion 2006

That's the car that Constant wanted David to use at the worlds in 06, sadly not quite the same as the car he did use!!

That front end got a lot of stick, and in fairness it wasn't exactly amazing. That said, I did make the A final at the nationals where I ran it! although did switch to the L4 FE fairly soon after I built the car.

...btw, if It had those actual red front axles, and servo mounts, there is a good chance you'll bend them - so keep an eye on that.

Other than that, have fun and enjoy 12th racing.

The front end can be changed with asso parts so it's no problem but thanks for making me aware of it.

Btw I'll drive a more classical 12R5.2, this is my gf's car

I like your thinking!

Depending on her experience of RC, it's maybe as well for her to run std for a while, but for sure the associated front end is better.

I TQ'ed / Won UK nationals with the SP12X back in the 4 cell days, so it certainly wasn't a bad car back then!

You did? Congrats! Thanks for the kind words . She never ran onroad but raced offroad for 3 years now. Anyway she reaaally wanted this car so I couldn't do anything . If she likes it so much then she shouldn't break it

Ok she might break it.. but whatever, it's a hobby. Cars are meant to be driven, raced and crashed eventually. I have to say this Corally is looking awesome. All titanium screws, all ceramic bearings,.. For 60$. That's the cost of a custom painted body.

Hi mate,

I just I would show you some pics of what I made after we went to LiPo:

I actually liked the original front end but the Superior link conversion kit only used an AE type front end, hence, I made my own that could use either!

And then, to reproduce a Corally chassis from my youth days (!) I made this:

This one I made just for a laugh really, however, it goes really well and I recently finished 12th overall at a UK national using it for the first time on the wrong tyres!!

Cheers.
