Default Novak GT 7 wiring mod help

Can anyone tell me the wiring mod for the gt7? I have just got one and the wires are about 2 inches long. How many diodes are fitted?

Thanks

I think you are talking about the Pre-Installed Schottky Diode on the wires.

It's a schottky diode and must be used for the Long Life of the GT7. You can take it off the wires and install on the motor directly if you like as well.

The case label has the power wire sequence on it.

Thanks

Thanks Charlie, I thought there might have been more than one fitted but I was not sure.

The pre installed one is huge! Im assuming that replacing it with a tube shapped unit soldered to the motor is same? I got one used and it had been in a shaft drive car so i had to install new power leads to go into my buggy. I just did not want that large diode/board in my new wires so i used the motor mounted diode instead

I really wish ESC tech would get these along with caps installed with in the ESC case........... I know time will improve tech...
