Default KO 2343 Servo Problems

Ok, so my new 2343 servo is not working in my setup?
Everything works fine, just the servo goes all twitchy and crazy, thats if It even gets working. Most of the time its just dead.
I read in the instructions that they do not guarantee the thing working unless it is with KO products. I'm using an LRP Q2 with a JR RS310 Synth Reciever.
Took the setup and tried it with the older 2143 and it works fine?
Anybody have any experience with the newer KO servos?
Is this thing defective, or does this thing only work with VFS-1's?

I have two and have used them with the KO 301f reciever, and as for speedos both the VFS-1 and the LRP 7.1 and i have had no problems.

Friend had the same problem it is most likely the QC2...It has more than just this servo as a problem....I believe it is becasue the 2343 or 2363 servos require more power becasue they are digital. The QC2 doesn;t give the reciever enough power to control the servos properly...Hence the reason I moved over to the GM Racing SX12...Your best bet is to sell the servo or buy a different ESC....I just moved my QC2 to my AE B4 with an Airtronics 94359 servo and no porblems. The Receiver you have my buddy has had nothing but problems with, but what it sounds like is the QC2.
Sorry for the bad news but that is just what I found. You can also try a different servo. I would be willing to trade you a Airtronics 94357 servo with the upgraded blue aluminum heatsink case I have for a spare in trade for the KO 2343 plus $20. As I really like the KO servos.
The 94357 works perfect and has less than two hours total use.
let me know.

Make Sure you have the TX on a Good Bit of time before the RX like 10 Seconds, I had the Same Problem when i Turned the Car on first or even at the Same time the Servo Would not move at All. My servo is jumpy at close Range But once I get a Few Feet away it is Fine. And I am using the rs300 and rs310 Without any Touble at All.

Wow That sucks.
I really love KO servos and that is all I use and don't really want to get rid of it.
I guess I will have to get a new ESC. You say you have a GM? Any better than the VFS-1?

Scoobydo-You might try and post your question on the Ko thread. Not knocking anyones advice here, but perhaps the people who make the servo might have a little better insight into your problem.

Robert usually gets to posts quickly..his name on the forum is

Good Luck,

This is a known problem, the BEC on the QC2 isn't up to it. Most people only notice it when they try to run a PT though.

Default Servo

Like MattW said, it's a known problem. The LRP outputs something like 5.8V to the receiver. The newer programmable digital servos REQUIRE 6.0V. But if you are using a KO receiver KR-302F, it should take care of the problem because it has booster circuitry to bring the voltage up.

This is the only esc that we have seen a problem with. Ours, Novak and Keyence do not seem to have this problem.

Is there a fix for this problem other than getting a new esc or reciever?

You could try using a power cap on the receiver.

Ok, so does anybody know how I put a cap in a reciever? My experience is only putting them on the Speedo.
Do I use a reciever plug and only use the positive and negative ends and ignore the third line on the reciever?
Also, does it get hooked up on the Battery Slot or the 3rd channel on the reciever?
Anybody?
Thanks.
