We have used Acer ceramic bearing for the last 2 years without even one going bad. I prefer the Acer ceramic bearing. Smooth and durable.

I have used Acer for my last two cars and they are very nice and long lasting...Only down side is the rubber seals....They cause drag which isn;t what you want in a bearing for our use. I am going to try Boca for the my new car and will list my thoughts.

I'd say Boca for the reasons Shook mentioned but I do enjoy my Acer's ;) -JB

Free plug for Acer Bearings. Smooth and lightly oiled. No extra work needed. Run the ceramics in my nitro kits with no problems.
Boca are good also , but I don't like the fact of having to de-shieled and clean them out to get them really free. Just my .02 :tire: |
i've seen that chick naked. :D

one of my acer bearings popped its shield after a nasty crash. can i safely "pushed" the shield back into the races assuming the balls are okay or is it caput?

Not strictly inline with the topic, but I'd go SKF or Timken.

Ther eis a ton of info on this if you do a search.
I have never used Boca so I cannot comment on their bearings. I have Acer Ceramics in three of my cars right now and I can tell you, I have no need to try any other bearing. The plastic seals do require you to break in their bearings but once they are broken in, they will be more free than any other bearing. They will be as free with the sheild as they would be without it! The seals are also the best at keeping out the dirt! |
does this mean that boca need servicing before use to make it really free or it will slowly be free by it self??? one of my acer bearings popped its shield after a nasty crash. can i safely "pushed" the shield back into the races assuming the balls are okay or is it caput? |
