Sounds great Jason, my one request would be, please make it able to set ride height low enough front and rear to burn up tires, run em to the rim!!

Front shocks are now official. The car will be using threaded body bladder shocks. I am going to have to make various springs but they are very smooth shocks. Now that i have them, i can now go and machine all of the parts. I will put up progress pics as i go along.

How's front end weight going to work out with 2 full shocks up front? They smaller than the VCS, Silvia, or Encore shocks?

Considering every 1/12th I've owned since LiPo went mainstream I've had to add weight to make the minimum weight...I'm not overly concerned about a lil extra weight up front

They are much smaller than the center shock. Weighing up against the CRC and new AE front ends which are heavy, it should be lighter. I will check the numbers when it is all complete. The weight of the car should be very low when all is said and done. I am shaving weight in many areas compared to our previous cars. It is also extremely narrow at the front and rear reducing touch downs in hard corners. It gets wider towards the center of the car but very narrow front and rear. That is always the touch points. Overall it is more narrow than our previous cars.

The car will use links and springs in the rear with flex plates being an option part. Some guys like the flex plates so that option will still be available. If you guys have any more questions, i will be happy to answer

I just checked the shock length for the front shocks and they are only about6mm longer than a standard kingpin. They are super light.

How about larger bearings for the rear axle?

Going to larger bearings would reduce the amount of ride height adjustment you would have as well as add weight that I am trying to remove. The kit will have the standard 1/4X3/8 flanged bearings for the axle.

I am looking to release this car as pretty much an exotic 1/12 pan car. Origionally i was looking to compete with the lower price of some competitors but changed my focus onto high quality parts and to be exotic. All 1/12 cars out have been made to be inexpensive and simple. I am looking to bring my car to a level that has not been seen in this class. I do not have the typical top 10 running my car so I cant play the big race result game that companies use to market cars. I have always tried push quality and innovation to market my cars. Some people appreciate it, and some just follow the big race results. Im not going to sell as many cars but i am always confident in my products and from an engineering standpoint, we want to keep bringing new and innovative designs to market. We may not win big races but many other companies do who did benefit from our innovations. Look at WGT, BMI started the new latest and greatest electronics configuration that everyone runs 4 years ago. I cant tell you how many companies mocked it and said it would not work. I guess now things are different.

Really the market for a top shelf 1/12th is at a pretty high price point right now. Look at Corally, Xray, V-Dezign, Yokomo. I agree that the bargain basement kits like CRC or even AE, are not the market you should be aiming for with an innovative car.

I heard from people who drove the old dual arm adjustable front end on the CH12 that they had issues with the settings changing over the course of a run since set screws were just threaded through CF which loosens on the threads over time (I have the same issue on my V-Dezign with the tweak screws). You doing anything to address that?

I really liked the concept of the CH12 front end, and hope this new front end does away with the inconsistent nature of the old one.
