That was really incredible, strange that was over 10 years ago but still I remember it very well.

Don't forget Oscar was in that A-final as well. He finished 'only' 9th after watching David win his and Corally's first World Title and forget about his own race.

Having some top drivers will draw a larger crowd and make the revival succesfull.

Especially if this final is timed berore the euro's to have some extra training perhaps.

Sounding better and better! But as a reality check, if you want the big guns to come race multiple races I think 3 races is the maximum possible given the already very full calendar in the winter season. You need to avoid planning meetings when major events in Europe, Asia or US are planned.

However 3 races should be possible and would give one each to Germany, Holland and Belgium if those are the countries participating in this. I'm sure everyone will be willing to travel a bit farther for two times, especially if it were possible to make these two day events.

In any event I would certainly consider it if it gives me another chance to see how close I can get to Oscar

Tony, I didn't even dare to dream of them top drivers to come to all events!

But I'm torn between the good idea of three races in three countries and the 5 race series. Three races, that doesn't give very much track time.

So if you separate the series and the events itself, you could go for 5 events (my personal maximum) and still have a big race at the end.

Besides, if you want to get top drivers, 4-cell is a must.

Hello,

Three, four or five races is workable. Like I said before (page2), six races is maximum and imo hard to accomplish (also due to good locations and time!!).

The presence of those 'big guns' may not be the main purpose of organizing the races. Just a page ago, it started with some Dutch people trying to 'organize' Dutch 1/12th racers, then I suggested why not make it a couple of races (together with Belgium , BE-NE-(even FR)). Markus said that there are in Germany also a lot of 12th racers (waiting for some more 'local' races?).... BE-NE-DE
My point, let's keep the hobby driver in mind, we're (trying) to organize these races for them. Don't get me wrong, I believe the presence of some top drivers is crucial, a MUST, but let's not just focus on them.

From that point of view, I go with Marc, stating "4 cell is a must", but for other reasons = not because of the top drivers, but to get
an most wide public (so I suggest not only 4 cell -no motor limit, also 6 cell - no motor limit and 6 cell stock).. then I believe we would cover all possible (-present configuration) of 1/12th drivers.

Btw, the idea of a two-day event = super good Tony. I believe it will oblige organizers to present a race with decent facilities and organization and that way we can offer the 1/12th racers several weekends where they not only can race, but at ease look around, knowing other 1/12th racers, learning from those big guns .... enjoying an 1/12th race, for 1/12th racers!! (something that's hard to do in one day, this is too short)

Please keep up the brainstorming !
It's essential we offer those 1/12th racers outthere a well-structured champ'ship/race events/....

@Leini: Lets make a deal, you offer me some the special tire additive for Latex tires and I will let you run a race with my T-Fource?!

Ok, guys, I have the same opinion as Tony, like I mentioned before, do not make it too many races!! 3 races and a final is more than enough. With too many races, you will loose entries.

And Benedict, you have to have some "big guns" there, this will bring people back into 1/12.
Sure, the hobby drivers is were this all lives from, thats the people we want for that class, but without the big guns it does not work......

Ui, Tony against Oscar , that will be fun.....
OK, don't let us destroy that gorgeous idea by discussing too much, lets make a point. Maybe it will be useful if we could meet together somewhere and work it all out

Take care guys,
Markus

P.S.: 1/12scale rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
