I have a Kyosho TF-5 Stallion mounted a mamba max 7700. Runs great except I need advise on the gear ratio, a lot of guys are using Novak in my club race but Mamba is rare. Any advise?

your best bet is to find out what final drive the other mod drivers are using then go to the gear chart provided & get as close to there's Just a quick FYI I was able to install the 108 tooth spur gear from kimborough fits perfect & no clearance issue's

I believe you can flip the belt on the current cars, but the only thing I believe that gets in the way is the servo ear mount (of course you can chop this) however, there is no advantage in doing this unless you can move the batteries to the center to take advantage of the space that's now freed up by flipping the belts.

crossing my fingers that there is a conversion kit to the Adachi spec.

I think Kyosho must have realised as soon as they released the Stallion to shops and distributors that they had ballsed up - the spec was just too low for the price, especially when all the protoypes shown had been laden with red aluminium and carbon.

Lets' hope they get the price right on this one and the Stallion becomes the success it deserves to be - I don't run Kyosho any more but I still rate the TF-5 series as one of the best handling cars I have had the pleasure of driving.

I like the Shin version, I think that is what Adachi was driving at the LRP masters the other weekend.

GMartinez.... I'd say you maybe able to help me out!
My Stallion is hooking exiting corners, not spining out, just a sharp over steer as I get on the power I think it could be to little caster, I have 4 degree c hubs on the front, 1mm spacer under the front and rear of mounts at the front end...would it help it I was to take out the 1mm spacer from the rear of the front mount?

Everything else is fine just this hooking on exit. The track is outdoors on ashphlat.

if its a large track, try 8.8- .9.0 FDR, and for shorter tracks, 9.2-9.4FDR

So far as for clearance got some also
The SHIN Edition has all the Factory Hop ups included all the aluminum BLING BLING.
So when it is released it will be more expensive than the last kit & as for a conversion kit no word on it yet if it will be available.
The Shin edition will have a lower cg than the previous kit narrower chasis lower shock towers. I forgot to ask if the bulk heads are lower but will ask next time.
release date is set for japan in July no info for the U.S. but will update when I get the headsup.
