Well I am somewhat disappointed at Kyosho's inability to come out to the KO event this past weekend. It would have been a great opportunity for everyone to see the new Stallion in action.

In fact the only person to show running a Kyosho was Steve Wang. He had the guts to run his TF-5 shaft drive on a oneway with IBs in a field mostly populated with XRays and 415's running on spools and LiPos. Way to go Steve! You are the Kyosho man!

Hopefully the Kyosho team can get it together and make a US showing some time soon like The Reedy? IIc? SoCal Grand Prix? Toys for Tots? Anybody?

Not trying to make excuses for the Kyosho team but they don't really have a factory driver in Socal outside Mark P. who just finished with the off roadworlds. I don't think anyother team flew in factory drivers.

Mark has always been more suited towards 1/8 offroad so I would not have expected him show with an onroad car. However there are plenty of drivers Kyosho America could have signed to drive their car.

One example: Derek Furutani. He's driven for Team Kyosho before running 1/8 offroad and he's been sporting an HB Cyclone for the past few months. I'm sure he would have had no problems signing on to drive the new Stallion and represent Kyosho in So Cal. (both the area and the track )

I see Yokomo trying to make a come back by signiing some new guys (Jason & Edger) so why hasn't Kyosho done the same to get their product recognized?

Just some info about spur gears. If your like me who run LRP BL indoors you may need to gear the motor around 9.0-10.0 sometimes, in that case you need a BIG spur gear. I've tried some different sizes and the biggest i would use is 114T, a 115T may be flush with the underside or protrude just a bit.
However, to use a bigger spur than 107-ish you MUST enlarge the hole in the bottom chassis that the spur goes through. It has to be extended a couple of mm's to the rear of the car.
With a 21 pinion and 114 spur you get a FDR of 9.9

I hope this were to any help.

They're here!

The FDL/Kyosho UK shipment has finally arrived (I believe French customs had taken a long interest in the container). Now more of us Europeans can see how well this car goes!

Hey Tim,

Did Joel opt for the shop vac over the Stallion?

Oh Yeah, the KO race didn't allow for shop vacs, maybe thats why Joel didn't show up.

We have 3 stallions locally in Australia...we have had them from 2 weeks to 1 month. One guy runs mod and 2 run stock. We are all very happy with the cars and in stock they are pretty much on the money out of the box.No tweak good turn in and great power out of corners
