Belty design changed!!!!!

I just checking LRP TCM 2006 photo and I notice Kyosho Belty got a design change.

Previous design has spur pin on the front of 2nd battery from rear. The motor is on center of battery pack (front of 3rd battery from rear)

The new design has spur pin on the front of 1st battery from rear. The motor moved to front of 2nd battery from rear.

In short, the entire motor/spur block been move 1 battery back from previous location. Also, the new motor/spur block seems be narrowed a bit.

Very interesting progress, I wonder what's difference by moving motor/spur block 1 battery back. It seems it would make the weight placement shifting away fron center of wheelbase. Better on accelration but slower on weight shifting? dunno.. very interesting anyway...

Looks like the belt car is getting closer to the competition. Don't know if anyone noticed but the car Adachi's running at the LRP TCM is quite different to the one that was used previously at the TITC. the whole motor, layshaft etc... have been moved backwards and is now closer to what it is on the MSX and lookalike cars (although still further forward than in those cars), and now the bulkheads features easy access like on the newest cars. It's starting to look quick aswell with him taking the 3rd qualifying spot !

It appears also that they are using the multi flex technology. The car looks good though. I may be wheeling one next indoor season if it is up to speed with the T2 and the RDX. And if it is out by then.

So Tim, Did the belt car for the show come built or did it come as kit that had toi be assembled. If it came as a kit, how many of those RAW preproduction kits did you get???????

If the team guys already got their onroad packages to play with, how about letting me have one of those "extra" raw preproduction kits?

BTW, I don't mean "free", I am willing and able to PAY for it.

How does 25,000 sound...ROFLMAO just kidding.

Seriously, you need to goto the show and check out the car. Both of them(shafty and belty) look very good.

Hi Guys,

Stopped by Kyosho yesterday and saw the TF-5 in person. Excellent quality through out the entire kit and if it comes equipped the way it was, then it is very well equipped with a lot of aluminum goodies included

I'll see if I can snap some more pictures at the RCX show

Steve Wang

P.s. sorry Tim, I think everyone was at lunch when I stopped by, only Cort was there. Next time we'll do lunch, I'll buy

I agree the car looks hot but question; how far out does the batteries sit being that both belts are between the batteries and motor? For instance the 415 only has one belt in between the two allowing for a pretty slim chassis.

A picture with your post, when trouble shooting, will probably get more rctech help than without...
