Hey just a little tip for those of you having problems with the aluminum front spool: replace the front wheel shaft with the same as the rear (LA231-02) but keep the same front swingshaft. This will space the swingshaft 2mm further into the aluminum spool making it a little stronger. You will need to add 2mm worth of spacers to the inside of the wheel shaft to space it properly. Use the plastic cup (LA211B) that captures the end of the stock plastic spool on the end of the aluminum spool to add even more strength. Add a dab of shoe goo to the plastic cup and it will stay on the spool and still be easy to remove when needed. I've run mine like this for about 3 months now and have had no problems at all.

Hi guys,

Here's a link to my setup for the Shin on high grip carpet in 10.5/lipo.

I used this setup to qualify and finish 3rd of the last round of carpet wars in the UK last week end.

Any questions feel free to ask.

Fab

I'm sure someone has asked this question already but I couldn't find it anywhere....so here it goes.

Do people run lipo's with the Kyosho TF-5 Stallion? If so how do they keep them strapped down?

I've machined a plate that not only adds the 200g missing to make the lipo to the same weight as a pack of cells, but also offsets the pack by 3mm to the right so the bulkhead isn't in the way anymore.

Sorry I can't find the thread about them, but there's that one

http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric...lone-xray.html

You can always ask him if he can make one that offsets the pack by 3/4 mm.

So what are your opinions on the shorter rear arms compared to the original longer ones? What do they do for the car?
