Tried to get in contact with roar but they haven't responded to my question. I'm not trying to throw anybody under the bus but I'm just trying to figure out why while this rule was in place it was never inforced in the past. With them not inforcing the rule it cost people national championships.

My understanding is it only applies to 17.5. Anyone can run 13.5 or mod... Again this is ONLY my understanding... And it is only 17.5 for that class, so if you win 1/12th 17.5, you can still run TC 17.5 (until you win it)....

That is incorrect. If you win 17.5 in on road it covers all 17.5 on road classes. Just not 17.5 Off road classes and vice versa.

The 13.5 class is still being discussed per Ron Schurr. They are trying to clarify it for themselves as even some of them dont understand it completely the way it was written it appears.

That was the "story" that was given at 2013 Nationals at LH, to why he was running 17.5 both TC and 1/12th... At that time he had only one 13.5 1/12th the year before, but was not allowed to run 1/12th 13.5 so he ran TC 17.5....

Out of the ROAR rule book

12.2.9 Any Stock National Champion may not compete in any ROAR stock National class for a period of 5 years. Vehicle genre discipline specific. For example, off road stock buggy national champ may not run off road stock truck but he/she may participate in on road stock nationals the next year.

IMO, the rule obviously should not apply to 13.5. If a Mod national champion is allowed to run 13.5 as a secondary class, why should winning 17.5 preclude you from running 13.5?

So someone who has won a Mod championship has more right to run Superstock than someone who has won a Stock championship? If that is what the rules currently say, than they need to be addressed ASAP.

Looks to me like the distinction needs to be made between Stock and Superstock...
