I read the rule and you are right. I was wrong. You have to run commercially available cars and parts in sportsman classes.

That said if you car is assembled from commercially available parts, no hand made parts, you should be fine.

For example:

An Xray 1/12 with a SpeedMerchant Chassis upgrade kit and CRC Front suspension would be fine.

If you cut your own chassis for it that would not be legal.

Your not the only ones that did that...I just happened to be looking for names I know

I am sure ROAR will let you know and since all of the classes are the same price I don't think switching them will be difficult.

The rule as written in the rule book also includes super stock classes as well and in this case 13.5 1/12th scale would be considered super stock.

12.4.3 Vehicles, electronic and functional parts, and accessories used in Sportsman
Stock and Expert Super Stock electric classes must be readily available through
retail outlets at least 14 days prior to the event

maybe. unless we hit 250 entries before you try to add a class, you should be OK.

a little over 18 hours at we have 55 entries already! don't sleep on it fellas.

the race web site and flyer (look @ first post for links) have been updated with the spec tire prices.

Registration was actually rather painless. I'm in for TC 17.5 & WGT.

TC 17.5 is going to be the class it looks like.

Quick question. According to the web page the pit spaces measure 36x18 is that acurate or a mis print that seems awfull shallow

it is accurate to the inch.
this size, while tight, has been a relative standard at other large races.

You are right the gate is 3'x2'.

The 2009 Roar nats at the Gate in the hotel were this exact size.

The 2006 IIC was this size or smaller.

The 2005 Roar Carpet nats were smaller than this.

At both of the nats I decided to Build up using shelves.

Fortunatley we have a home depot and lowes both about 2 miles from the track. The one hotel is located right next to the home depot.

180 and 360 Raceway. Best on the East Coast. Take your pick

Larry speaks truth. All the large events I've been to indoors have had similar pit sizes.

I've already got stackable shelving on order.
