Futaba 3PK- PCM or HRS?

I think that i have read that failsafe is working only in PCM mode.
Which would be better to buy?

Non, just get the bare transmitter and get a Spektrum.

The failsafe works in both PCM and HRS modes.

Get the one with the HRS receiver if you have digital servos because it is smaller and provides a faster response (it also has fail safe).

Get the PCM receiver if you use analog servos.

What car are you putting this into? A car like the Yokomo CGM or TC3 could benifit from the S9550 due to limitation in space for electronics. If this is a xray or RDX or many other cars, you can fit a full size servo in it, than I would recommend the S9451 dig servo.

Hey John,

Do you have the DSM spectrum in your Futaba 3PK. The reason that I'm asking is I've been on the waiting list with a pre-order from Horizon Hobbies for the last month. I was told it was not available yet and will probably have to wait till end of April possibly May. Did you buy yours elsewhere?

I don't know if the original question for this thread is still active so if t is then the answer is do not get the digital. I just bought the Spektrum for my Futaba 3PK and a JR Z8800s digital servo for my new TC4. I got home to finished assemblying it only to find out the DSM Spektrum will not support the Futaba in HRS mode. So the JR servo needs to go back.
