WOW!!!! Associated bought out.....I just love RC soap operas....

On a more serious note: I suspect that if the truth were known, most of our RC parts are made in Asia. I have dabbeled in machine shop/mold making from time to time an have always wanted to see some of the moldwork that is used to make our cars.

With labor cheap and with outstanding machinework/molding skills, you better believe that most of the production parts are made in the Orient. Have you seen the Port of Long Beach? Thousands of shipping containers each day......

On a serious note-what does Thunder TIger do exactly? Are they a manufacturing company or do they just design cars and source out the manufacturing?

I think this is terrible...this company was an American Icon. It would be the same thing as Ford or GM were bought by a Japanese company.

The end of another great American Company...

Default another icon going down!

well looks like i will look toward a switch as well. not the jealousy thing, or anything to do with that. just another disappointment of another US company bought out. i dont care where most parts get manufactured and i understand globalization. it would just be nice to see the profits stay in the US and not overseas.

just my $.02 as i live in the detroit area, drive domestic based cars and try to support companies that are based in the US..

i would rather pay more and support a U.S. based company, than one that is not..
