Default receiver help

my son has cut the ariel wire about an inch from the receiver can i cut it there and resolder the end or does the wire have to be a set length?

yea you should get the right replacement I mean i once cut a wire all the way so that it was only 4 inches but i go to a small track and then i went to a big track and GLITCH GLITCH GLITCH
