Hi need some advise ,
currently I am running a TA05 with full 3 racing hop up , motor and esc yeah racing combo 5.5 turn . gear at 64pitch 103/33 . I use to run the car in tulf city trck . the car run very smoothly corner are petty easy to clear with the current set up lap time about 16sec average.
Can I change motor to 3.5 turn to get more speed on the straight. Cause many advise is that the car will be very diffcult to handle . Is it true? . Is there any one out there who has tried a 3.5 turn in this track.

Just want to give everyone a heads up. Tony's Screws now has screw kits for both the standard TA05 and the TA05-MS.

Has anyone tried the Penguin chassis?

Just blew up my LRP ESC. Nothing left of it . I will take pics later once i get over the $200 hurt!
I have, and it was pretty good. I actually helped them re-do the chassis holes cause a small missalignment was causing a sway-back. This was about a year ago, so the current stuff should all be good. I even have an extremely limited (12 units made) lipo upgrade lower deck kit if anybody is interested. The lower deck is much narrower and includes the adjustable battery mount and velcro strap.
If you wanted to make it a full chassis kit, I think you only to contact them about getting the rest of the kit.
I've been wanting to sell this for around $90...

My car didn't do the funny little hoppy thing at the track, the surface is different. And as I popped my ESC, I transferred my 19t setup into it. It wasn't much faster than my stock motor round the track. More speed, but even though I could handle it the lap times were the same.

What foam bumper does everyone use as a replacement for the stock unit?
The stock bumper falls a bit short for just about any of the popular race bodies.

Anyone on here know what the tire grade (shore) is of the stock tires that come in the TA05 kit? I was trying to determine the shore grade as they seem to be a really firm tire. I have some Jaco Green (28shore) tires I've been running and seem to work pretty well on pavement. Two of the Jaco's are battered up really bad (out of round and cracked) so I experimented this weekend running two good Jacos up front and the stock Tamiya's in the back this weekend. I tried that combo out because the car has been pushing really bad off/on throttle in or out of corners when the Tamiya's are up front and the Jaco's are in the back. Now the car handles completely the opposite and is now extremely loose! I'd like to get some different tires to bridge the gap in tire grade so I have more options. For the time being I am going to try different springs and shock settings to dial it in. Any thoughts?

Nice job Daren, car looked nice. I guess you and me both will be moving up come next year. I need to get out there and run some 17.5 with you guys. But you seen the results of the last motor change.
