Picked up an 05ms about 2 months ago (in japan), and was wondering about the 2 sets of front c's that come with the kit. They're labeled 2rl and 4lr, is the difference in caster or camber?

The MS is great, the only weak points I've found are some of the plastic/carbon in the front end and the aluminum turnbuckles on the front. I ditched the front one-way after the first few laps.
The futaba s9550 is great! Unfortunately, the mamba is too much for the local track here...

They refer to caster values in degrees..

Hope this helps.

My basic setup for Asphalt, medium grip was basically kit settings except,

No roll bars
plenty of droop (5 on the gauge front, 3 rear)
Blue Tamiya springs, #450 Much-More oil all round

Seemed to work just fine as a start. Yellow (kit springs) are also OK but can make the car roll a little too much in some corners for my tastes and start to feel a bit sluggish.

Default asphalt setup

i use white ultra hard springs in the front and blue hard springs at the rear. solved most steering problems. i had a little toe out in the front also. running a tekin g11 pro esc and 10x2t motor. handles very well with a little drag brake set on the esc (:

not possible since the middle bulkhead is different. also the rear belt on the 05MS is shorter than the regular TA05. and the front belt on the 05MS is longer than the regular TA05.

not sure? but by the time you purchase all of those items separately, you might as well purchase the 05MS kit because it'll probably cost about the same as the individual parts combined.

Default Mounting a Mamba Max

Hi all. Just got my TA05 kit in the mail and look forward to getting on with the build.

Any suggestions on how to mount a Mamba Max in the stock tub? I was planning on just sticking it in the chassis at an angle and be done with it until I can afford to grab one of the carbon chassis. The only other ESC I have on hand is an LRP AI that is even bigger than the Mamba

I had no problem mounting the MM in my TA05. I attached my MM ESC on to a used piece of bumper to raise it higher

Quick question: I usually run a 19t Orion in the Ta05 with the origional gearing, but have recently thronw in a 12t mod motor. The question is what gearing combo should I be running?
