Tamiya TA05 Touring Sedan

If it helps you, the dimensions are below if you wanted to measure up
http://www.teamnovak.com/products/esc/TC2/index.html
I have the Cyclone TC in my spare car (for my son when he's older hehe) which I believe to be the same size, but the most recent Novak capacitor is BIG, so I could see a problem installing it, even in a TA05.
Tbh I think it would be a push to get it in, not impossible, but pretty tricky.

EDIT: do you think an LRP ESC with these dimensions would fit?
Length:41mm
Width: 36mm
Height: 19mm

Sorry,im not familiar with the ta05r chassis, (I have a ta05 with a 3racing chassis which is a bit different).
Seeing as you already have the kit, measure out those dimensions on a scrap peice of paper, cut it out and allow for the wires and see how it is in different positions on the car is the best thing I can think of

I got it straight from Japan and just put it together. I'll report on the performance in a few weeks.
Fit and quality of parts are as good if not better than Tamiya. The shock towers are the thickest I've seen at 3.5mm!! I'll put this up against a TA05MS any day and better yet, unlike the 05MS, it's a real TA05 with equal belts!

When I assembled mounted the diffs/gearboxes, the front belt seems a bit more tight than the rear. I double checked the settings and everything is correct...is that normal? I have the TA05R with blue belts...

I think I had my rear belt set 1 notch tighter than the manual says when I initially built the car. You will also feel it get loser after you run the car a few runs. Just like the diff, you may have to adjust the tension after you "break it in"

This is seriously the nicest kit I have ever put together...the instructions are fantastic and everything fits together perfectly. Its pretty brilliant.
My only beefs are with having to cut down ball cap ends (wtf?) and the relatively soft metal of the scews, which strip pretty easily.
Otherwise its just perfect. So happy with my purchase

It sure looks nice though. I'm sure it's worth doing just for looks!
I'm not questioning why do it, I honestly would just like to know why it's better.
