is the ta05v.2 R GT3 TCS legal?

since the TA05v.2 is available everywhere... how much would necessary upgrades cost for it perform like the R.

do you recommend going with the R... or get the V2. and just upgrade just the necessary upgrades.

Thank you

I am currently working on getting mine ready for vta season. My problem was that i built it completely out of hop up parts and now it is way light. Working on getting the balance even now by adding heavier screws on the light side.

Here are some pictures of my fresh painted body's, the blue one is mine and the red with glitter one is for my little girl.
She will be running the body on a TA05R, TT-01 or a TT-02 chassis.
She likes it a lot, especially caus of the pink and the glitter

I'm trying to get my old trusty TA05 ready for VTA and will be getting the black trf shocks soon. I'm hoping someone here can tell which piston to use for these shocks on a TA05.

Any info is appreciated!

Default Gear Diff in TA05 v1

Am wanting to put a gear diff into my Ta05 v1.

Hey folks, I have been looking through this thread and there is some useful stuff.

Is anyone able to provide a quick summary of what other changes are required to put a 37t gear diff into a TA05 V1 ?

ie
- what belts to use? can I not use the ones already on the TA05?
- I can put a 37T pulley in the front spool no problems
- and what is the FDR if I put a 18t center pulley in (with 37t front and back on diff and spool)?

Thanks in advance folks.

I recently converted my TA05 to the 37t gear diff/front and rear with 18t center pulleys. You need the TA05 V2 belts and 18t pulleys. That's it.

FDR is 37/18=2.0556

Here is the link for the belts:

Here is the link for the 37t oneway pulley for a spool:

18t Center Pulley:

Hope this helps!
