Questions??

Hi everyone,

I m looking into getting the 3Racing version 3 chassis conversion, but from looking at the manual online,

http://www.3racing.hk/manuals/TA05-09V3%20Manual.jpg

it looks as though I need to buy more than just the conversion kit itself? Like a few more aluminium posts here and there or something? Or am I just reading it wrong? I dont want to buy this kit and then finding out that there are more things I need to buy.

Is anyone using or has had experience with this conversion? I also want to use the original Tamiya aluminium steering arms with it, is this compatible? Or do I need to get the 3Racing ones?

Any suggestions/feedback appreciated.

Thanks

oh man i cant believe it on my first practice run at the the track my 3racing conversion snapped. it snapped on the top deck bassically the carbon strip next to the motor mount. i didnt have any spills the only crash i had was when i took the apex to high and the car rolled, none of that head on crashes and stuff. the only reason i can think is that the screws supporting the upper deck to the bulkhead loosend and came which i didnt notice until i saw what had happend.
does anybody know where i can get a cheap carbon reapir kit or some ideas of how i can fix it. i have seen some out there nut they are all so expensive,

yer everything fits fine you dont need to get anything else those extra posts are only if you want to change your conversion to an ifs conversion..... dont not buy the chassis because you have probably read my comments below, really i just got unlucky, because otherwise than what happened to me i would say that the chassis looks as good as it performs!

Couple of quick questions........which shock springs are better for a dusty ashpalt track. The red...yellow....or stock sliver.......Those are all I have.....And also I have some old tc3 shocks, factory team that I never used...will they work on my TA05.......If so what weight shock oil.

I use yellow and blue (forget which is stiffer now - the stiffer one in the front), with 40w oil and three hole pistons. But the key is to have fresh tires. Also, make sure your rear diff is nice and smooth and not tight.

There is already a nicely optioned version for TA05 Verion II on the market for awhile now...it is not called R but it has all the R options on it.

Pretty sure the Tamiya Standard Yellow Spring is 13.33 and the Short Yellow is 12.9. I could not find a listing for the kit silver. But in hand the kit silvers feel stiff compared to the yellow. For our parking lot track I run short yellow springs all around on Tamiya threaded shocks with 40wt oil.
