Martin, Kevin ran the body at the Regional this last weekend and it looks good. It comes with the good 'ol Modena wing. With a cranked diff I got it about.3 off my 415 but still looking for more pull on long turns. Some of it might be down to body as I had a pushy Skyline on it.

I third that. Mo' Power. How about a handout transpeed mod motor. Was that an 11 turn? or 9 turn?

What kind of gearing would you expect to use for a 10 turn motor on the TA05? Just won one at our recent TCS prize draw (as well as an APS 3-in-1 ) I figure I'd try it out...

It's one of those new Peak Raven S motors, with a budget-V2 endbell and bearings.. the fastest I've used is a 19T Quad, so this would be a big jump for someone like me...

Mike.. it should be the standard size as your 415s. When are you getting yours? Thinking of running mine in 19t this weekend (La Mirada). Car was really good in stock last weekend.

I would say the same as any other chassis. 7.5 is a good starting point!

I use a lower gear ratio (is 6.7 vs 6.9 higher or lower? ) on TA05 than 415. It might be different on your end since driving style also affect the gear ratio to use.

For me, TA05 is a better turner than 415, so I can throttle on a bit earlier than 415, a bit lower gear ratio doesn't hurt the accelration since I throttle on earlier. Again, "FOR ME".

So where is this Satoshi set-up sheet you guys were talking about? I've scanned through 100 posts and didn't see the sheet.

It was on JP RC World magazine (was it? or another one?). I don't have it. Maybe someone can post it over.

Good morning past champs. I spoke with Fred yesterday and he mentioned that the motor for the race will be changed to 23T so that we can maintain them. Also, I think any hop-up with the exception of one-ways will be legal. The past chump rules should be updated but don't count on it happening anytime soon since they're at an away race.

I think all of the TA05 stuff that was in the "coming soon" section as of yesterday were in stock. I don't know about fixed gearing, all Fred said was we're gonna use 23Turns. But ummm...which one?

p.s. you like the micro tamiya tube top my avatar's wearing?
