Nice, Tamiya AND Kyosho are both sponsors on this car. I guess we might see a body from both

Hopefully someone can answer my question here. Is the motor mount that comes with the TAO5-R suppose to be blue. I recently bought one for my fiancee and it is powder coated gray. Someone we race with told me it should be blue. Thanks in advance to anyone who answers.

Peace Aaron(W-W)

The motor mount on the 05R is not supposed to be blue. The blue unit is the CNC machined aluminum mount that dissipates heat better than the stocker. The stock unit is a cheap cast aluminum junker. It is not powder coated I believe, just rough crinkle finish from the mold.

Hey All,

Got a quick question. Im in need of some hingepins for my TA05R. I've bought 9808010 49.7mm shafts in the past but of recent time they have been had to come by. I was wondering if I could use the 51093 46mm pins instead as they are listed for the EvoIV. Any help here would be great!

If the figures you are listing are the length of the hingepins, logic would tell me a shaft being 3.7mm too short is going to allow it to pop out of the toe block easily on impact, or it may not be the correct length at all

Best get the 49.7 imho...

i'm finally going to get one... my next purchase before i buy any more junk.

does anyone know where do get a good deal? the best i can find is RC mart for around 60 (just under $120 i think). shipping doesn't matter because my dad goes to china on business a couple of times a year, and if i ask him nicely he can pick one up for me. at HK prices

you can use these, but probably a bit pricier...

http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/ite...oduct-id=53870

there is another one that is longer that can be cut down for a last resort... but the application and part number escapes me. ill look around.

Try RC Mushroom
http://rc-mushroom.com/index.php?cPa...r_id=33&page=1

or RC Champ in Japan have to be the cheapest. Send them an email and they will get back to you with a price and postage. They don't do online sales, just fax them your details (they will send you an oder form via email). They are extremely polite, helpful and delivery is quick.

http://www.rc-champ.co.jp/Champ_Inte...onal_index.htm

The website is in Japanese but you can use a translater (through google) or fumble your way through like me.
