The kit comes with the Tamiya std yellowish oil, in a small bottle. I wanted to build as kit so i ran this oil.

I always believe in building something out of the box and then working on it. Otherwise you never know if you are going in the right direction or away from optimum.

I have a question regarding to the TA05 and gearing it... Right now i use a 72t 48pitch Spur gear with 26-28pinion gears. What would be a good set up for the TA05? Maybe higher spur gear? I'm running stock asphault. Any ideas? Would be great..

My EVO3 Surikarn for sale? if the price is right I guess...

Lucky man! Im still waiting for stocks to get here at Lils. But I might wait for a different body since everyone will have the ferrari or jsut sell the body to Weinner and get another JGTC body.
Congrats on the podium finish at the last Speedzone race. Must be the car. Kidding!!

Default TechRacing CF

Was bit busy these few days so no post about my TA05 report, but here it comes.

I got TechRacing carbon fiber 2F deck, front damper tower, rear damper tower, steering plate, and battery stay installed last Sat and test drive it.

After carbon fiber 2F deck installed, the car is much more solic on pitch axle, the roll axle is still about same flex with stock.

Damper tower is the best stuff, it come with front 5 pos and rear 8 pos, which give u a great deal of setting fine tune capability (TAMIYA stock 3front 4rear, CF hopup 4front 5rear). Also, they are 3mm thickness, no flex what-so-ever. But it 100% not TCS legal (well, I have no TCS here so not big deal for me)

Steering plate, the hole on it fit 630 bearing (the one used in TRF415 steering rack, BH5 9805646) perfectly. With a little shim entire steering rack is super smooth, COOL!

Battery stay, nothing just for eye candy and weight saving. However, you need to put 1 or 2 o-ring on top of battery stay before you put the snap pin. Otherwise the battery stay will move up-down for about 2mm, make you battery moving around in chassis. So remember to put some o-ring on top of it to remove the huge play.

As for my hand-made plastic spool... it's totalled... It last 4packs than totalled, entire drive cup break off in heavy break. I guess I had to wait for metal one now. However, it did give you a super good exit-corner steering, plus the already superb mid-corner steering, driving is awesome... till it totalled..

I can't really tell you if TechRacing CF hopup give a huge performance gain since I run a very different setting with last time. But it's 100% better EYECANDY..

btw, as you might know the 49.7mm suspension kingpin is hard to get. I already bend one in front suspension so I take a chance to try 50mm one, and it fit

Now.. where to find some Ti 50mm pin... haha
