During the winter...both this last and the year before on carpet. I ran my car extensively. And while I would get a decent snap of static when I picked the car up after a race...the car has NEVER once acted strange, glitched etc. And I've used both the standard 05 and the R both with the standard lower deck and the carbon tub...also at times I used the Tech upper deck. So I'm not sure where the issues are comng from?

After reading all these static problems now I know why one of my Hyper ERG-RZ turn half dead.

About the static problem....so far, I don't have any (indoor and outdoor, rubber and foams....tried them all)...but I will have 4.5 running foam oudoor on a 230' track, I don't think I will take my chance but soldering alittle wire just to play safe...

If you go the the tamiyausa website
Part # 51102 is discontinued, and to order 51242.
They look to be in stock there. I might have one at my shop I can look tomorrow.

I have my newly built (never run) TA05R w/ $80 bucks worth of spares I got from Heibiki here on RCtech...

Anyone have anything cool to trade or want to buy it? Just thought I ask and entertain offers before I decide to post it in the For Sale threads.

Anyone know where would be the best place to get the Kawada chassis conversion? Thier site has it listed for 14800 yen. What's that in US $ ?
http://kawadamodel.co.jp/partslist/tamiya.html

Any opinions on the Kawada chassis? From the Shizuoka pics it looks pretty solid especially the shock towers.

Kawada has a history of making good Tamiya chassis conversions. My other choices are the 3Racing or Penguin chassis. Sorry if it sounds like I'm beating a dead horse (since I've asked before) but I just want to get any experienced opinions before I commit to one. Basically I'm tired of the plastc tub tweak and now the static electricity issues too.

Thanks for any info

What would you consider cool for trade?
I am looking to buy a TA05R soon. Let me know.

Final version of my TA05 static strap...

This version now uses eyelets that are crimped and soldered in place. It is now very durable, easy to fit and remove, and the eyelets mean that the assembly has no affect whatsoever on tweak or the structural integrity of the chassis.

If anyone is interested I can put together a small kit of parts to fit one of these to your own car. It will include 1x wire strap with eyelets fitted (red, black or white wire available), 2x cone washers (please specify purple or dark blue), 2x round head stainless hex screws, and some installation instructions.

Price is 5 sterling shipped WORLDWIDE. If you would like one please send funds by Paypal to [email protected]

PS Please don't complain about the cost converted to dollars etc., it is not my fault the pound is very strong right now! I really can't do it for any less and I am not trying to "get rich quick"

Thanks,

Dave
