Translated from the Tamiya Japan site:

TA05MS:

TA05 and TRF415 it sets motor helicopter loading site to center almost, adopting the upper 2mm thick, [rowa] 2.5mm thick carbon double deck. Looking back characteristic and the good quality of the throttle response of TRF415 where TA05 is superior it was compatible at high dimension. Furthermore, the front and back wide pitch pulley, equipping front one way and the aluminum motor mount etc of cantilever center shaft specification. It finished in the TA05 series strongest machine.

* As for center pulley direct type.
* As for damper stay also front and back 3mm thick carbon make.
* Front and back common high accuracy aluminum make bulkhead.
* Equipping the aluminum make steering wheel arm.

If only the TA05 front oneway wasn't so inefficient next to the 415 version. It's amazing how much more free wheel spin the msx diff allows and for me, is the main reason I'm not heading into TA05 MS Land!

Impossible to tell from those pictures. The doubt in my mind is that if they were the same belts as a TA05 surely they would have the blue ones fitted already?

Yes, you were disappointed with your '05, we get the point, get over it, it's getting pretty boring the way you take every opportunity to come into this thread and bitch when you don't even have the car anymore. Stick to the 415 thread please if that is all you want to talk about.

Personally I am very pleased with the TA05-R as a club car and had a great race last week where I narrowly beat a 415 (new, but not sure which exact model) driven by a driver of similar ability.

I ran a TA05 for over year, and could probably build one now with my eyes closed, it's not a bad car, but there are better.

I dare say I could teach you a few things about the 05.

looks like they have moved the weight a little further back in the MS version, which is something the 05 needs a little of, weight over the rear, wonder if they have used the opportunity to move the cells closer into the centre line.

I got nothing but praise for the TA05, it hangs with the big guys on a shoe string budget, and I haven't even gone to the LW suspension set, I got it, not needed to fit it yet.

Funniest thing was, a mate just bought the Mi3, smashed a rear wishbone from the get-go, he came round me house to show me, I looked, gave him a TA05 rear wishbone, that slapped on, exact same geometry, and a LW front wishbone would go straight on the front, heh.

Brad, did you try the wide pitch gears, frees up the one way and improves overall efficiency of the drivetrain.

This MS version is coming with wide pitch gears i believe

Not wanting to slate the mi3, but I heard about another one coming to a halt on its first run, driveshaft pin issues I believe.

oops my bad, this is an '05 topic area
