If you want the best conversion (which I think is not needed) check out the KAWADA conversion. It's bar none the best quality. It may not be as flashy as the SSG 3Racing one...but the fit and finish of KAWADA's stuff is up their with Xray and Corally.
Ahh, but where can we purchase such quality for our 05's, hmmmm?

Default Belt drive

Guys ... What's the best belt that you have used so far, in terms of durability I'll be running mamba 6900, so might as well get the best belt out there. Thanks.

the stock belts are already good but if you want to upgrade you can choose either of the two low friction belts that Tamiya have, the blue low friction belts and the black low friction belts another company that have the TA-05 belts is Tech Racing just dont know if they sell the belt only for the one that i have seen has the aluminum center pulley which comes as a set with the front and rear belts

Default TA05 Belt

Thanks Buboy28, just don't want to keep replacing the belt, everytime I run the bonestock TA05 with the mamba 6900. cause I heard rumors that the stock belts expands with the use of modified and brushless motors.

we ran the TA05 in a 24 hour enduro. We used the Aramid belts. we ran a Novak GTB with an 8.5 motor. We went through 4 belts. The first 3 in about 68 hours time. the last one went the rest of the 24 hours. What we found is tightening the rear belt so it had no deflextion allowed it to work for a longer period of time. (about 3 or 4 click tighter than we would normally set it)

Default belt drive

Guys, thanks for the information.... it's not bad at all . I do the math, I'm running the TA05 on weekends only for maybe 2 hours max. It will last for 3 months with one belt lasting 24 hours continuous running.

I have seen somewhere about the FK04 belt tensioner #303070 modification on the rear belt. It will make it easier to adjust the tension of the rear belt on the fly.
